While browsing through Blockbuster Sunday with your mom I caught sight of the newest of the Highlander movies.

Highlander: The Course DVD Art

I’ve always been a huge fan of Highlander, especially the television series that aired in the 1990s. So I was thrilled to see Adrian Paul starring in a new film reprising his role as Duncan Macleod.

Duncan, Methos and Joe were great in it. The rest of the movie was so bad that we couldn’t stop talking about how bad it was the whole time it was on. The story centers on the last of the Immortals who search for a fabled Source.

There is a completely retarded bad guy called “The Guardian” who spends most of his time wise cracking like a really bad stand up comedian. He was the single worst part of the entire film. The movie didn’t have the same feel as the TV series either.

Spoilers Follow:

To make matters worse Joe is killed by the wise cracking “Retardian” and the lame ass breaks Duncan’s Katana which he’s had for 400 years. Two major world shaking events in that universe for Duncan, and they play out in about a minute of horrible dialog by one of the worst bad guys in cinema history.

We’re left not knowing if Methos lives and the end reward for finding the Source is that Duncan can now have children. That’s where they leave it. And if they plan on making any more shit-tacular Highlander’s like this one I suggest they leave it at that.
